Audacious: willing to take surprisingly bold risks. Don't be afraid to go bold and express oneself through them. I put together a list of some of my favorite accessories to show you. Some are from current trends and others are just for fun.

Outfit #1Outfit #2Outfit #3Shirts with flared sleeves have might a comeback this summer. I paired mine with a beaded choker. Since my top was a solid color I picked a printed body-con skirt. For shoes I went with some classic black t-strap sandals. My bag is the Jet-setter backpack from Henri Bendel. Below is the makeup tutorial I used for my Jack Sparrow costume. Outfit 1

Outfit 3Have a great school year!
Audrey is sophisticated and is one of my biggest style icons. She was poised, fabulous, and inspiring. Audrey is well known for being Holly Golightly in "Breakfast at Tiffany's." In the picture above I recreated the iconic beginning movie scene picture. I was dressed like Holly (Audrey) for Chickfest at Carole & Co. There is just something about dressing like Audrey that brings out an aura of sophistication. Not to mention her love for chocolate cake, "Let's face it, a nice creamy chocolate cake does a lot for a lot of people; it does for me." Audrey Hepburn, once said. Almost all of my favorite quotes are from Audrey Hepburn. I truly feel her quotes have meaning and purpose. I feel that at least once in a life time each lady should have a feel for being Audrey. Ta-ta for now, darlings!
Since the weather has been getting colder now it is time to dress in layers. Here in Iowa, winters can be quite brutal if you're not layered up, but layering up doesn't mean you have to sacrifice style. For a casual look pair a t-shirt or blouse with a cardigan, your favorite jeans and boots. For additional warmth add a scarf and thick socks or boot socks to this look. The pictures below depict this look. For work wear a blouse with a blazer over it and slacks/dress pants. The pictures below show this look. To make this look even warmer add a sweater in between your blouse and blazer. For another variation on this look wear a skirt with tights instead of dress slacks. For going-out or a dress occasion you can still wear your favorite dress. Just pair your dress with some tights and a sweater, furry jacket, or shawl. Pair with some sparkly earrings. Look at the below picture for an example. My favorite go to warm coat is a trench or a double breasted coat. I like to pair it with some gloves and a hat. Below is an example of the double breasted coat. I hope these layering ideas will keep you warm during this cold winter season!
Soda fountains, poodle skirts, cateye glasses, drive in diners, etc. Yes I'm talking about the 50s. Below are some things that were in style around the 50s. - Little white gloves - Envelope purses - Cateye glasses - Saddle shoes - Scarves (tied around neck or head) - Letter jackets/sweaters - Circle skirts (knee/calve length) - Pencil skirts (knee/calve length) - Nylon stockings - Rolled cuff jeans - Little hats (for church) For the makeup they would usually just go simple with a lipstick and some rouge. Most of the time they did their hair with curlers or put it in a pony and tied a scarf in it.
